Filling

What is a dental filling treatment?

A dental filling treatment is a process of cleaning decayed teeth and filling them with a special filling material. The bacteria occurring due to irregular tooth brushing and food remains accumulate on the tooth surface and cause decay. The teeth decaying and de-structuring as a result of poor oral care and hygiene become dysfunctional if not intervened immediately.

How is a dental filling treatment planned?

The level of tooth decay is determined by performing a detailed dental examination on the patient before the dental filling treatment. The area to be filled is evaluated through an x-ray and other imaging devices and the decayed tissue inside the tooth is removed.

Following the removal process, the empty place occurring inside the tooth is filled with dental filling materials. The patient has to pay attention to oral hygiene post-treatment.
