Root canal treatment is the treatment performed to contribute to tooth decay, trauma, fracture and sometimes prosthetic conditions. This treatment includes the removal of the tissue that provides the vitality of the teeth, defined as pulp tissue, cleaning by washing, shaping with the help of special tools and filling them with root filling materials compatible with the tooth tissue. Ideally, root canal treatment can be completed in a single session, and 2-3 sessions can be continued in cases where the inflammatory condition in the root is advanced.
